Hello lovely people,

When I say we are having the time of our lives I am not exaggerating. We have been having so much fun there has hardly been time for facebook and text's home, let alone for writing a blog.
We left the wonderful city of Sydney behind just over a week ago. We travelled by bus to Newcastle with no plan at all and no idea where we were going.
At the bus station we were picked up by Tannon, who turned out to be an amazing couchsurfing host. At the same time we met two lovely Swedish girls whom Tannon was also Hosting.
The house in which we stayed was huge and beautiful and near the sea. It was occupied by 5 (of 7?) very Australian student guys. It was like we had stepped into an Australian movie. We did all the cliches from beachvolleyball to Bbq's to houseparty's and sailing. We had the most amazing time and met the most wonderful people. 20 hours of sleep in 6 nights might not be very much, but it was totally worth it.
We also went on a roadtrip down to Kiama for a 21st birthday. Kiama is a beautiful town an hour and a half south of Sydney. The scenery was spectacular and we had fun singing all the most awful songs all the way.
We met so many lovely people and it was really hard saying goodbye yesterday.

When we got on the bus again yesterday, we (again) had no idea where we were going, sleeping or who we were meeting. We also lost our guide book, so we literally had no idea. Again though, we were incredibly lucky and we are staying in an amazing place. Totally different from the place we have just come from. We are staying with Zianna and George who have a beautiful cottage overlooking a valley of (rain)forest.
Today we went to a spectacular beach, had lunch with a hippie community and the went for a swim in the waterfalls.
Really, life doesn't get much better.

much love

    John:

It'll be a challenge for you becoming Dutch again.

    Mvg,

    John
